How much will it cost to clean my kitchen exhaust/hood system?
The most widely accepted guidelines regarding cleaning frequency have been published by the NFPA. You can locate those in our NFPA 96 link to the left. Your state and local goverments may have regulations regarding cleaning frequency. Also, your insurance company may have requirements for how often you must clean your system. The most important factor in determining the cleaning frequency is your safety. If you go too long between cleanings you are putting your establishment and personnel at risk. If there were a fire while the build-up was too thick the fire suppression system may not work, and even worse the fire could burn through the ductwork and spread into the building.
How often should my kitchen exhaust/hood system be cleaned?
There are basically two types of hood companies. The first, and most common, will only clean what you can easily see. They will leave the ductwork and difficult to clean areas dirty, putting your establishment at risk. Although they will sometimes charge less, they profit from you more; they are not spending the necessary amount of time to clean your system properly. The second type of company, which includes us, will clean everything according to NFPA standards. We also provide a high level of customer service, while other hood cleaning companies often times do not.
